Adam and I decided to stay local for the 4th of July holiday. Purposefully not making any plans, we were excited for a laid back three days.
Friday night we decided to go to the Rockie’s game with Emily, Ryan and a few of their friends. I was pleasantly surprised by the fireworks. Denver sets them off from the baseball stadium, so our view was exceptional. After the game, we met up with our neighbor, Derek, and a few of his buddies at the Whiskey Bar.
Saturday we rode our bikes to the Cherry Creek Art Festival, bbq’ed with the Hutchinsons and then watched the fireworks from our back yard.
On Sunday, I ran 7 miles (for the first time ever) and then we rode our bikes to Kate and Rob’s house for delicious food and croquet.
We had a blast. From the fireworks to croquet, we enjoyed every minute of our weekend. Happy Birthday America!
